Viña Alicia
About Viña Alicia
Viña Alicia is a winery that combines the winemaker tradition of her makers, with a privileged location to achieve collection wines. With more than 25 years of research and study to achieve "wines of excellence", in 1998 Alicia Mateu Arizu, wife of the renowned "Winemaker" Alberto Arizu (Alma Mater de Luigi Bosca), together with the youngest of his three children, Rodrigo Arizu, began the commercialization of the wines that bear his name. With "Chateau" characteristics, the Winery "Viña Alicia" is surrounded by a vineyard of 10 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and some strains hardly found in Argentina, such as Nebbiolo, Grenache Noir, Carignan, Albariño and Savagnin. Although the winery has a production capacity of 50,000 liters, it only markets 25,000 bottles of Viña Alicia, and 80,000 bottles of both stone passage, a year, which are exported in its entirety to 14 countries. "Viña Alicia" today enjoys the prestige and international recognition of the most prominent personalities in the world of wine.
